What is “ping”? Is it the same as booking an appointment?

In the Therapprove app, a ping is a request you make to a therapist of your choice to provide services for your child.

A ping may or may not always result in a confirmed appointment, depending on your therapist’s work queue, availability and life events (e.g. paid time off, medical leave, coverage for a distressed colleague).

Please expect a response to your ping in less than 72 hours. If your ping is accepted by a therapist, you will receive an email to give you further instructions on how to reach them to book an appointment. You will also be notified of any request for additional documentation such as intake forms, confirmation of diagnosis, etc. If a ping is declined, you will also receive a prompt email to allow you to find an alternative therapist.
